Drama Workshop

This fun workshop will give an introduction to physical theatre and the art of using alternative spaces for devising theatre work. Bring a piece of writing (found or your own), an idea and an open mind and lets explore how text can come alive in the body, space and your audiences minds.
Clint Dowdell has been working with the contemporary theatre company Red Cabbage since he graduated form Deakin Rusden in 2001. Since then he has made a number of large scale installation based performances, the first of which premiered at the Street Theatre in Canberra in 2002. Most recently his collaboration with B-Floor, a physical theatre group, in Bangkok has received rave reviews across both cultures.

Aerial Master Class

This Master class is designed for people that have had some training in either Hoop or Tissu, it is not for beginners.
Evoking emotion and defying gravity, Daniel will bend and express his body around anything aerial. Spending three years with Cirque Du Soleil in Las Vegas on the show KA, Daniel is a passionate and expressive performer and strives for perfection in skill and showmanship,
Having recently returned to Australia from working overseas with Cirque Du Soleil, Dan has taken a position at NICA (National Institute of Circus Arts) as an aerial coach.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to work with Daniel on his
first visit to Canberra.
