Kylie Murray

Kylie began dance at a very young age practicing in Classical Ballet, Jazz and Tap. It wasn’t until she attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts in her senior years that she found her passion in the Contemporary dance technique.

She continued her pursuit in the contemporary industry when she was accepted into the Bachelor of Arts (Dance) at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts where she went on to complete her Honours degree with the LINK Dance Company.

Kylie has a passion for practice and performance in contemporary dance. She is now based in Canberra and is enjoying the independent dance scene as she enjoys working with a range of different people. Kylie easily adapts to a range of different styles, and has a very strong ability in reproducing material. She has an ongoing commitment to an energetic and versatile style.

Kylie enjoys teaching students of all ages, and recently worked with the Visible Dance Company in Perth as the choreographer for their last performance season. In 2008 Kylie was invited by Chrissie Parrott to be involved with the Reeldance Film Festival, as the Perth collator of films.

Most recently, Kylie performed with Sydney based contemporary dance company ‘Dirty Feet’ in their August season of “Tipping Point”. She has also just completed a two week residency with Tasdance, in Launceston.

Kylie has worked with choreographers such as Nanette Hassall, Rosalind Newman, Susan Peacock, Reyes De Lara, Sandra Parker, Michael Whaites, Paea Leach, Martin Del Amo, Lucy Guiren, and Narelle Benjamin.

Daniel Power

Daniel’s remarkable talent was apparent from a young age. His early performance experiences representing his local dance studio as an acrobat and contortionist in regional dance festivals spurred him on to further his training in the Performing Arts.

In 2003 he completed a Bachelor of Circus Arts from Australia’s National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne. Daniel began his professional career performing in many different corporate shows and events. This exposure led to him being chosen by Cirque Du Soleil for their development and production of “KA” which is a permanent show in Las Vegas.

Since returning to Australia in 2007 Daniel has been coaching and sharing his knowledge with Australian students as well as maintaining a high profile in the industry. His Australian performance credits include Aerial Acrobatics shows for corporate events produced by Showtech Australia, ‘’Live 08’’ produced by Circa NICA, the opening of the Asia Pacific ‘’Out Games’’ as well as a residency at DNA - Dance and Aerial Studios in Canberra developing and performing in the short work season “Distance 665”.

Daniel has just arrived back from a cultural exchange tour of Central America with the International Ballet Theatre (IBT) February 2009. The tour also helped to raise much needed funds for children living with HIV. Daniel is excited to once again bring back the knowledge he has gained overseas to Australian performers.
