epiphany

epiphany
20 + 21 + 22 july 2006
Choreographer: Janine Ayres
Writer: Paschal Daantos Berry
Sound Design: Ben Watts
epiphany - a world built from three disciplines - dance, aerial and theatre, grew from the seedling of an idea when Janine Ayres, Paschal Daantos Berry, Ben Watts and five dancers collaborated in 2005.
Refining epiphany, fleshing out the characters and finding a way to represent them in Ayre’s world of aerial dance theatre creates this exciting and challenging work.

This particular world is of men. Some are archetypes and others are the slippery creatures that occupy the grey areas.

red cabbage at play
28 + 29 april
2006
Creators: Red Cabbage
Movement Direction: Janine Ayres

Red Cabbage perform moments of beauty beyond traditional theatrical contexts and were lauded for their innovative use of space and stunning visual imagery in their work with CIA for Demons, and their 2002 production Half Full of Happiness at the Street Theatre.

Taking a step inward from their massive project Hedge-Mony (The Maze)  - a  human hedge maze with over 200 performers at the Commonwealth Games - this unique development work offers the opportunity for audiences to witness the early stages of an artistic process which explores a world without systems and logic and the creation of intimate, visual moments in an interior space.
